After lunch we take a leisurely stroll through the historic city centre and learn about the emperor Diocletian through interesting stories from the rich history of the city that has been protected by UNESCO since 1979. Towards the evening we go back on the road and head north to your hotel on the coast of Biograd, near Zadar. Biograd will greet us with a beautiful coastline, so find a local restaurant, ask for the catch of the day and wash it all down with a Rakija, a Dalmatian drink that the region is famous for. In medieval times, the region around Slunj was known as no man's land, an uncertain border region between Europe and the Ottoman Empire. In the morning we enjoy some free time and you have the chance to explore the magical landscape of Rastoke. After lunch we will drive to Hotel Kaštel, located on top of a hill in the centre of the medieval town of Motovun, one of the most beautiful towns in European urban history.
